Mission Statement:
The Modoc County Office of Education is to promote the academic, social, and vocational competence of all students in the county by providing leadership, service, and support to local school districts in their efforts to provide educationally excellent and fiscally sound programs.

Role:
The Modoc County Office of Education serves as an intermediate unit operating between the State Department of Education and the three local school districts. Its chief role is to serve as a coordinating and regional service unit for the local school districts.

 Welcome to Modoc County, the last frontier county with outdoor recreational opportunities for  all enthusiast. Modoc County is located in the remote northeastern part of the state. The  county borders Oregon on the north and Nevada on the east. The county is fortunate to have  five State Preschools. Early Childhood Professionals eagerly embrace every opportunity for  professional development and educational advancement. Modoc County has dedicated  professionals meeting the challenges of distance and financial demands to furthering their  educations.
