Plumas County Office of Education
Superintendent: Michael Chelotti Plumas County Website:
Welcome to beautiful Plumas County- located in northeastern California, where the Sierra Nevada and Cascade mountain ranges meet. In our district there are 4 main communities and high schools: Chester/Lake Almanor, Indian Valley, Portola/Eastern Plumas and Quincy. To travel from one end of our county to another could take over 2+ hours driving time, depending on the weather!
For preschool services, our county offers 10 Licensed Centers including, 4 State Preschool programs, 1
college-based child care center, 2 Head Start programs and several private centers. Currently we have 34
licensed family child care programs, several serving up to 14 children.
CAL-NET has provided professional growth opportunities to participants representing all of these programs.
